Now that we finally got some power to Brett's computer we can post some pictures of Kennedy! She was born April 17 at 11:28 pm. 8 lbs 8 oz and 19 in. She had a lot of visitors in the hospital, including all four of her grandparents, lots of friends, and an aunt and uncle. I look so tired in the pictures because a lot of them were taken at 3:00 in the morning which is the first time I got to hold her. She is precious and we love having her out and home with us, even though we don't get as much sleep as we'd like anymore. She is starting to be awake a lot longer than before, and we have a lot of fun playing with her. She already has daddy wrapped around her finger.
Waiting for the baby is the worst. Every day I get asked how much longer and even though I am now in single digits (9 days!) it seems like I still have forever to go and that she will never come out! Once she comes we'll definitely take tons of pictures, in the hospital and out, and let everyone see her. Until then, it will probably be somewhat dry on the blog. Hopefully she will come out soon, and earlier than her due date. The full moon is on Sunday the 20th, and the nurses at the hospital say that it really is true that women tend to go into labor during that time. I hope so!
It's simple, but we're proud of the crib and dresser that Brett set up! If you can't tell, the theme is sage colored Classic Pooh. We're going to pick up a rocking chair as well, and we have a couple of things to hang up, so it's not entirely done. Lucy loves to get up on the dresser (when we let her in the room) and steal the teddy bear and drag it around the house.
I suppose that I should document my huge pregnant belly, and my puffy end-of-pregnancy face, especially for those who haven't seen me for a while. I think that Kennedy is probably going to be a big baby! Post your guess for weight and length!
Since we don't have any baby pictures (yet) I thought that we could at least entertain everyone with pictures of Lucy, our kitty. She does some funny things sometimes, although we aren't always lucky enough to capture it on camera. We got a piggy bank at one of the showers and Lucy promptly hopped inside the box and started purring when Brett closed her in it. She may not look happy, but I assure you she is. The last picture is when she got into the box that Kennedy's dresser came in. She got a piece of the styrofoam on her nose. It was awfully cute.
Hey everyone! We're really excited to start up this blog so everyone can see what we're up to! You'll have to bear with me at first, because I'm not very good at this kind of thing, but hopefully we'll be able to get it fully running by the time that Kennedy graces us with her presence!
