My parents went to China back in March of last year and came back with a few things for baby Kennedy who was still in my tummy. Their gifts included this little red dragon hat that they said all of the Chinese kids were wearing around. It finally fits, and it is so dang cute! I wish that Halloween was coming up instead of being almost a whole year away.
We let her crawl around with it on for a little while. We just couldn't get enough of it! And yes, she is fully mobile and a little too fast for her own good. She is pulling herself up on anything and everything and is in the beginning stages of cruising. She's not even a full 9 months old yet and she's threatening to start walking in a couple of months. This is bad news.
For those of you who wanted to know how rock climbing went, I was actually very proud of myself. My arms still hurt (especially after having to hold Kennedy for almost all 3 hours of church yesterday) but it is well worth it. I pretty much only did 5.6 walls (which is a pretty low ranked wall) but I was able to get to the top of one of them and close to the top on another. I fully intend to go back and tackle those others that I couldn't get soon!

That little hat is so cute on her! How fun. Good job on the rock climbing!
Congrats on the rock climbing!
How fun! I love the hat and I've been dying to go rock climbing myself. I can go for free with Phil if I could only find my marriage license and get my Buck-ID :)
Isn't it the Chinese New Year soon? Forget halloween, the hat is totally appropriate. Ut oh, walking?! Tell her to stop growing until I get to see her again. The Malcolm x and MLK crossway is very ironic. Barack only identifies with the black on the surface, he is more like the WASP politicians in every other aspect. But this doesn't stop my students from thinking he is the end-all-be-all. I hate to tell them that he's going to turn out like pretty much every other single president. At least they're interested in politics.
Cute little dragon of yours.
Rock climbing?!? I'm impressed. I HATE...DESPISE...LOATHE rock climbing. Did it once (on a date), got embarrassed, and I'll never go back again. EVER!!! But I'm impressed that you made it up the wall (and 5.6 sound like a fairly high number, don't down-play yourself...besides, most of us would believe you if you said it was the most difficult).
Can you my little dragon baby's teeth? aaaahhhh!
