Yes! We have finally heard from the Coast Guard about when we will be leaving. They gave Brett the date February 2. We are trying to see if we can get in a little bit earlier, since if Brett goes in on that day he will get back on the baby's due date. We'd like him to be there if at all possible, but if he can't be, it's not the worst situation in the world. I will be with family and the baby would be a week old at most when he got home. We also found out that they are going to give us a completely unexpected $6,000 bonus! We are so excited that we can finally start making some plans. So we'll be driving down to Texas at the end of January, and then we'll see where we go from there!

Yay! I bet it is a relief to finally have a date and some plans made. I know you were hoping for him to get in there earlier, but I have to say - we are so excited that you will be around for the holidays! The thought of you guys leaving makes my heart ache, but I am so thrilled about your new adventure. We'll hope for the best of both worlds - that you can have him for the holidays AND the birth of that sweet baby!
